Tuesday Poem: Somedays

Some sullen days I get so sad,
I could punch large holes into concrete walls.
Other days I get so mad,
I could tears phone books into itty bitty pieces.
Most days I'm so glad,
That I get to dodge the waves of fear and madness,
And body surf their tubes of despair all the way to shore,
Where I smile, and take deep breaths,
And shoot rubber bands at the sky.

But some sullen days I loose my balance,
I get sucked under the mighty tidal waves,
And find myself drowning in the quicksand.
Where thousands of somber souls
Discover their courage to return to the surface.
Only to be wisked away by the lunar tide.
